Ingredients

1/2 sheet panPrepared yellow cake
3 cupsBay Valley® Brand or Thank You® Brand Vanilla Pudding
1-1/2 cupsChocolate chips, semisweet
1/2 cupHeavy cream
1/2 to 1 tspAlmond extract

Procedure

  1. Split cake horizontally into 2 layers.
  2. Spread pudding in even layer over bottom layer of cake; cover with top cake layer.
  3. Melt chocolate with cream in small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in almond extract. Let stand 5 minutes to cool and thicken slightly.
  4. Spread chocolate glaze over cake. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
  5. To serve, cut into 2-inch squares.

Yield: 24 Servings

Chef's Tip:

Chocolate pudding may be substituted for vanilla pudding. Garnish with whipped cream or whipped topping and chocolate curls.
