Ingredients
1 piece (7" long) | Baguette or French roll |
1/4 cup | Hoagie relish (recipe follows) |
2 leaves | Red leaf lettuce |
2 oz | Thinly sliced roast beef |
2 oz | Mortadella, sliced |
2 oz | Genoa salami, sliced |
1-1/2 oz | Provolone cheese, thinly sliced |
1-1/2 oz | Swiss cheese, sliced |
2 oz | Bay Valley® Brand Kosher Dill Lengthwise Strips |
Hoagie Relish: | |
1/3 cup | Red pepper, finely chopped |
1/4 cup | Black olives, finely chopped |
3 tbsp | Parsley, fresh, chopped |
1/2 tsp | Basil, fresh, chopped |
1/2 tsp | Oregano, dried |
1/4 cup | Olive oil |
Procedure
Hoagie Relish:
- Combine all ingredients. Mix well.
Sandwich Recipe:
- Cut baguette or French roll in half lengthwise.
- Spread the Hoagie Relish (see above recipe) on the bottom slice.
- Layer on lettuce, roast beef, mortadella, salami, provolone, and Swiss. Top with pickle slices.
- Carefully place top of bread on filling; press down gently.
